HIC raffle raises fantastic amount

December 7th 2018

Our charity raffle for Leicester Animal Aid last month was a roaring success. After all the money was totted up, we raised an amazing £930, so thanks to everyone who bought a ticket.

Winning the main prize of a Krups coffee maker was Chris Partridge of Contra Accounting. Chris very kindly donated it back, allowing Matt from Emkat to buy it for £150, which goes to our charity!

There were plenty of other great items up for grabs, from Two Birds gin to afternoon tea at Waterloo Cottage Farm and much more – thank you to everyone who donated a prize.

Thanks, too, to Latika of Solutions in IT for cooking some more of her wonderful samosas, which also contributed to our total.

Our Leicester Animal Aid donations bin also arrived last month and we were very happy to see it full of items to help the centre in its work looking after neglected cats and dogs.

Also, thank you to everyone who made, contributed or bought cakes at our recent Macmillan coffee morning. We had a great selection of cakes and baked goods to choose from, and no one went hungry.

The event was a great success and we raised a total of £161 for what we think is a very worthy charity.
