Liza Menzies
Centre Manager
Liza was on-board with the Harborough Innovation Centre when it opened in 2011. What she did prior to that is considered a State Secret, and is a story that’s best left untold. At the inauguration of the HIC, Liza took the role of Assistant Centre Manager – a position that gave unrivalled insight into the workings of the region’s most distinguished business support enterprise. She is no wallflower, and is widely credited with being the driving force that rapidly filled the Centre with enthusiastic businesses right from the outset. She considers the HIC her baby. Despite that family bond, Liza’s indefatigable curiosity led her to explore new pastures. She left the HIC at the end of 2014. It was, in her own words: “one of her poorest life decisions.” However, thanks to an unexpected turn of events, she was able to seize the opportunity to return in April 2017. She is now the HIC Centre Manager and is happily reunited with her extended family. When she’s not implementing new HIC client support efficiencies, streamlining business processes or visiting other Centres in the Oxin portfolio, Liza loves to socialise with friends, enjoys music and dancing, is a gifted gardener, and is completely obsessed with her pet dog Lola.
Kate Jackson
Business Coach
Kate has been a successful private business coach for the past 18 months, with a great track record in helping businesses fulfil their potential. Kate will spend one day a week using her expertise to help companies around the Harborough district. Any company that pays business rates to Harborough District Council can take advantage of Kate’s expertise. Kate has also experienced running a contract catering company which she sold before moving into business coaching.

Innovation Director
Stuart is an innovation growth expert with expertise in business development activity within SMEs. His experience stems from supporting over 1500 businesses whilst at De Montfort University and a further 5 years of running his own businesses.  He specialises in helping to develop and implement innovation practices within businesses through strategy, marketing and business model innovation.  Stuart has hands-on experience in running a business, he is a SFEDI qualified business advisor and was previously nominated for an enterprise educator award.

Emma joined Harborough Innovation Centre in Jan 2015. She was self-employed for four years and has run three different types of business models. This has given her valuable knowledge and understanding business start-up needs and the challenges they face
Keri Glass
Centre Support Assistant
Keri has been with the Market Harborough team from when it opened. Although it is a small team based in Harborough, the all for one and one for all attitude of her colleagues is what Keri really enjoys about her job. Taking care of people and making them feel welcome whether they are visiting or residing are key objectives for Keri.

Caroline joined the Market Harborough, Oxford Innovation team at the beginning of November 2015. Caroline has previously worked in a variety of roles within the Health/Social Care, Retail, Recruitment and Banking sectors. Throughout her career, she always enjoyed the customer facing roles best.

Kelly Taylor are Building Services Consulting Engineers who have been practicing for almost 40 years. Our head office is in Devon and we operate a branch office from the Harborough Innovation Centre in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

As building services engineers we are involved in the design of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, water services, drainage, power, lighting, fire alarms, fire protection systems, IT and communications systems etc within buildings.
